Sometimes it feels as if the corporate environment goes beyond the usual low-level torment and tyranny and becomes even more sinister. Trying to escape for a late lunch last week and none of the eight lifts appeared for about two full minutes… makes the mind wander… trapped… hungry… tick, tick, tick… precious lunch hour evaporating… the building is trying to kill me. When an elevator finally does appear it seems that I’m not the only one who should be paranoid…
